Somme Battlefield Accommodation
Rose Cottage is situated in the historical village of Longueval in the heart of the Somme Battlefield. It backs onto Delville Wood, 'Devil’s Wood', the scene of heavy fighting in July 1916. The village, with a population of 280, is now a quiet, friendly place where you can relax and unwind.
Many of the famous battle sites are within easy walking distance including, High Wood, Delville Wood, Mametz Wood, Montauban, Flers, Ginchy, Guillemont. The famous Thiepval Memorial to the Missing, the garrison town of Albert with it's Golden Virgin, and beautiful Basilica, the Musee Abris, are all but 15 minutes drive away.
Three Bedroom Holiday Cottage
The cottage is situated on the Route de Flers, with secluded rear garden. It has a double bedroom downstairs, with shower and vanity unit en-suite, and two twin bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs living room has video player and there is an excellent library. The fully fitted kitchen has all the usual facilities, and the bathroom/toilet with shower, and washing machine.
