About our tours: Battlefield, war grave & pilgrimage tours with
The War Research Society

Over the years we have tried to provide several new tours for our existing clients to further away places, so we have now decided to organize some flying tours to supplement the ones we already do. This will of course cut down travelling times to these further away places and enable those with limited time to visit.

These will include, The St. Nazaire Anniversary, The Fall of Berlin, Colditz and Dresden, Warsaw and The Wolf’s Liar in Poland, Berlin and the Peenemunde Rocket Site, Krakow, Auschwitz, Munich Eagles Nest and Dachau Concentration Camp.

These and our existing flying tours are organized in conjunction with Carrick Travel Ltd. which is a bonded company and the tours provided will meet the requirements of ABTA (18343) and (ATOL 1159)

PRICES HELD AT 2011 LEVELS!

Why travel with The War Research Society?

We are a totally specialised company who only organize battlefield tours, and have been doing so for over 27 years. We combine Pilgrimage and battlefields in a sympathetic way, balancing history with Remembrance.

For those with a deep interest we have Specialsed Tours that focus on specific interests such as Victoria Cross winners, Air Aces, Airborne Operations, Commando raids, Desert warfare, Tanks in the Gt. War, Mechanised warfare on the eastern front

Our detailed planning enables us to fulfill your wish in perhaps visiting a battlefield that you have an interest in, or a relative or yourself fought on, or perhaps to visit the last resting place of a relative or friend or perhaps to see a Memorial that commemorates that person. We provide a varied programme each year which we hope you find of interest. The popularity of our tours continues to grow through word of mouth and personal recommendation.
