WWI 100 Years Anniversary Tours – 2018
This year we are again running a number of special tours to commemorate World War I 100th Anniversaries, the full list of these is available here. WORLD WAR 1: Armistice at Villers Brettoneux Memorial and Somme Battlefield Tour
4 Days, 3 Nights
A special, 4-day, 100 year Anniversary Armistice Tour at Villers Brettoneux Memorial and Somme Battlefield Tour.
Day 1 – Depart to France for our visit to the Villers Brettoneux and the involvement of the Australians in the battlefields around the Somme.
Day 2 – Today we visit Pozieres to cover the Australian actions in and around this area, before covering their actions around Peronne, Mont St. Quentin and across the Hindenburg Line to the east, Albert and Thiepval, and many other places of interest. The tour will also take in Special Visits as required.
Day 3 – Armistice Day – we will take part in the Armistice Day commemorations in Villers Brettoneux and spend the day in and around the area. This will include a visit to the beautiful town of Amiens in the afternoon.
Day 4 – En route home on the final day of this tour we visit Vimy Ridge to see the preserved trenche, and Canadian Memorial.
